Coaching
Middle Distance & Ironman Developmental Training GroupAs part of the on going “Triathlon Development” within the club and to encourage personal development I am looking to put together a group of club triathletes who are training for either a Middle Distance (70.3) OR full IM EVENTS IN 2012. The training will involve group sessions for all 3 disciplines, 1:1 coaching, training and nutritional advice. An ideal group number would be 4-6 athletes who will receive a personal service. Regular group meetings will be held to monitor and discuss “training development” and to share tips and advice. I am looking to hold an initial meeting in late November/Early December for interested triathletes with a view to setting up a training programme commencing in January!! If you are an ambitious triathlete and would be interested in forming part of this new group please e-mail me @ sanddbourne@aol.com or call me on my mobile: 07825046909. CoachingWelcome to the new “Coaching” page that has been introduced to develop coaching within the club. In the very near future I would like to design and introduce a Club “Framework” that will assist us with identifying individuals who plan on becoming qualified coaches in the future. We can then over time build our own internal team of qualified coaches who can then work together to introduce and implement a programme of “Continued Personal Development” (CPD). This new page will provide you with information, guidance and support! Over the period of February – May 2011 I will be attending the Level 2 British Triathlon Federation Coaches Course where I can build on my experience as a Level 1 Coach. Once qualified I can then assist potential coaches with their own personal development. And help to prepare them for future courses. Within the Club I have no doubt that we hold individuals with Sports related qualifications and a wealth of experience and knowledge who can help to form a small steering group designed to further develop the Club as we all move forward. After embracing the sport of triathlon and scooping a number of awards the time is now right to embrace “Coaching” that will assist members achieve their dreams!! If you would be interested in either becoming a qualified coach in the future or would simply like to offer me your knowledge and experience please contact me direct on the e-mail address below. Once I have a clear indication of people who would be interested I will look to organise a meeting in the very near future. Simon Bourne Mobile: 07825046909 |
